My Review:
Tag line: "Belles was the perfect read! It was completely addicting, full of betrayals and secrets, and a secret that leaves you gasping for the sequel, Winter White!"

I completely devoured Belles in one seating. No doubt this book was so so good in every way possible and passed by expectations of how this book turned out to be! This book is a must read, heaps of drama and hints of romance Belles is a perfect realistic fiction read for any one needing a little book to push them back off into reading! :)

That's exactly my reaction to reading Belles!

Belles is that type of book you grab just reading the tag line on the cover. I mean who wouldn't want to pick up a book that says, "Two Southern Girls. One-life changing secret." It grabs you just how the story line starts quickly. Izzie Scott's life changes when a social workers tell her that her grandma should be sent to a caretaker home and Izzie to live with her less-than-known uncle and a privileged life. There she finds more than what ever she expects but there's also some back stabbing, secrets, and lies all in Emerald Cove. I really loved Izzie a lot. She was relatable, funny at times, and definitely knows how to work her way into EC. She gets put through a lot of choices and decision, she wise enough to make them without anyone telling her what to do. Plus, there was also characters like Brayden, Violet, and Mira that added to a perfect plot. I really loved all of the characters!

Belles was written really well! Jen Calonita knows how to write something good with a little mystery behind it. Along with that she gives hints to what's going to happen here and there but in a subtle way that wove its way into the story. There wasn't really a time where I had to stop reading because Jen didn't stop where there was action and drama. The world building was also crafted well and clear it's easy for you to imagine yourself in Izzie's perspective.

I loved Belles, with know doubt. You get everything from a amazing story then a little more through the characters and Jen's amazing writing style. There's addicting drama, suspense, the socialities, I mean who wouldn't want a better book than this one? Fans of Gossip Girl or anyone one looking for a great read be sure to pick this one up soon! :))

  1. This sounds such a perfect read when I'm in the mood for something drama-y. Because sometimes i do, and most times I don't, but if it's a good drama going on and doesn't leave me with a headache, I am up for anything. ^^
