From Goodreads

Tidal was simply an amazing book! There was so much more at stake in Tidal with higher tensions between the sirens against Gemma and Harper. Tidal was definitely an thrilling, fast - paced, and riveting book. The cover? I'm in love with it.

Tidal is quick to recap it's readers of what happened in the last two books. The siren's are living in town with Gemma and Harper as part of the agreement Gemma made with Penn. Gemma thinks their safe for now, but there more danger and lies for everyone. Tidal also explores more of the sirens with even a few chapters which I think were like in the past chapters with the siren's giving the reader more insight on Penn's vivacious behavior. Those were on of my favorite parts of the book also. It was nice seeing the series develop more and expand then just leaving on what it it. With the stakes higher, readers will love the action Hocking manages to build up and it will have you turning to the last page.

One thing that set Tidal apart from the other watersong books it how more in depth it it. There wasn't a time I wanted to stop reading or take a break, because I knew something was going to happen with any of the characters. As for the characters, we see new sides to Gemma and Harper, even Thea who surprisingly grows nice to Gemma. Tidal also introduced more of the siren's history. I love the scene when Gemma, Harper, and Marcy decide to go and meet a person who knows about dealing with the supernatural. There wasA something about some scenes Hocking creates I just love and Tidal was one that showcased them perfectly.

If you're still deciding on a great summer series to read, pick up the Watersong series! It's a fun, quick, and suspenseful series that you'll love. Tidal was a perfect blend of Hocking's simplistic writing with great characters and the enchanting world of sirens!
