Goodreads Synopsis: Anna and Bennett were never supposed to meet: she lives in 1995 Chicago and he lives in 2012 San Francisco. But Bennett has the unique ability to travel through time and space, which brings him into Anna’s life, and with him a new world of adventure and possibility.

As their relationship deepens, the two face the reality that time may knock Bennett back to where he belongs, even as a devastating crisis throws everything they believe into question. Against a ticking clock, Anna and Bennett are forced to ask themselves how far they can push the bounds of fate, what consequences they can bear in order to stay together, and whether their love can stand the test of time.

Fresh, exciting, and deeply romantic, Time Between Us is a stunning, spellbinding debut from an extraordinary new voice in YA fiction.

From Goodreads

I never read any time travel books at all, and after reading Time Between Us, it's for sure not my last. Time Between Us was a perfect blend of romance, tensions, and heartbreaking choices.

When you do a time travel book you either have to make it unique and exciting or it will be cliche, the time travel aspect in Time Between Us was surprisingly done differently and fresh. Add some great characters like Anna and Bennett you have a great story of two star crossed lovers against time. Anna lives in 1995 Chicago while mysterious and odd, Bennett lives in 2012S San Fran and they diverge paths. Anna has only one thing on her mind is too travel the world, she even has a map with red pins on places she plans to go in the future. But meeting Bennett, it changes her life and she discovers more than what lays in her cold  and way too quiet town of Chicago.

Anna and Bennett's relationship was a bit shaky at time for me but it held strong all the way to the end. I loved the scenes where Bennett takes Anna to all sorts of places, but only places in his year and never messing up the past or future. Anna as fun and likable and she made the book light and easy to read. Tamara easily takes any reader and whisks them into a such a captivating world. I would so love to time travel also! It would be so cool to go to places and experience new things :) Time Between Us also faces readers with questions of time travel and love. Will it be worth it? How long can I wait? The book also focuses on the challenges Anna and Bennett face for the future and now and it was short of bittersweet.

Time Between Us is a light, romantic, and semi - bittersweet novel between two star crossed lovers who are against time. It was such a light read, it's perfect for summer and I can't wait to pick up book 2 for Bennett's perspective!

“I, for one, am ready for a lot more adventure and a lot less nothing.”
